Oasi Lipu di Cesano Maderno covers an area of about 100 hectares of woods, moors and wetlands close to a very urbanized and industrialized area and is protected by LIPU (BirdLife Italy). Two spacious huts and a balcony in the woods connected with paths guarantee excellent observations of the avifauna in absolute tranquility. Among the birds you can encounter are Лебідь-шипун, Крижень, Чирянка мала, Лиска звичайна, Водяна курочка, Пірникоза мала, Пастушок, Чапля сіра, Чепура велика, Мала біла чапля, Бугайчик, Бугай водяний, Осоїд євразійський, Канюк звичайний, Яструб малий, Дятел звичайний, Зелений дятел and Повзик звичайний.

Accessible on foot by bicycle (there are good car parks), the best way to explore the area is on foot along the footpaths and cycle paths (a network of about four kilometers of paths) The main starting point is the Visitor Center, in via Don Orione 43, where you can get more information on the routes and, with a small donation, receive the complete map of the paths.
