The part of the lagoon that is located on the north-west side of Venice is a great place for birding. A very nice wetland full of waders and waterbirds.

Description

There are many species that can be observed in the laguna Veneta all seasons of the year. For some years there are also Фламінго breeding. Other special birds you could see here are Сапсан, Сиворакша євразійська, Зозуля чубата, Огар рудий, Чернь білоока, Чапля єгипетська and Кульон великий. A total amount of over 450 thousand waterfowl live throughout the lagoon. And today there are more than 8,000 Фламінго that winter in the lagoon.
