Garzaia Pederobba has a riverbed that is characterized by wide expanses of gravel, riparian forests dominated by poplars and willows. The area is dominated by two streams: the fast flowing river Piave and the slow flowing S.Giacomo. The reserve covers an area of 163 hectares. In the central part of the 6-hectare forest nests a heron colony. Among the birds you can encounter are Крех великий, Пісочник малий, Чапля руда, Лелека чорний, Бджолоїдка звичайна, Набережник палеарктичний and Скопа. A visit is recommended in the spring and summer months, during which you can watch the nesting of the herons and observe migrating species, which often stop here to feed before flying over the Alps.
