Description
Colle della Maddalena connects Barcelonnette in France with Cuneo in Italy. This high pass gives excellent opportinities to see Alpine birds and birds of prey such as Ягнятник, Сип білоголовий, Гриф чорний, Беркут, Крук звичайний, Галка альпійська, Ластівка скельна and Кам’янка звичайна. A few hundred meters from the border on the Italian side there is the lake of Lago della Maddalena where you can park. On the lake it is possible to also spot Лиска звичайна and Пірникоза мала.

Italiano: Il Colle della Maddalena è un valico alpino alto 1996 m s.l.m., che si si trova nelle Alpi Occidentali, tra Italia e Francia, separando le Alpi Marittime dalle Alpi Cozie, unendo la valle Stura di Demonte (Italia) con la val d'Ubaye (Francia) e segnando il confine tra i due stati (a qualche centinaio di metri dal colle nel versante italiano vi è il lago della Maddalena).
