Description
Hopeland is part of the Wexford Harbour and Slobs special protection area and in winter it regularly holds nationally important numbers of Казарка чорна and Галагаз євразійський.
Low tide is best for the most variety of species, particularly waders, but high tide is also good for large roosting flocks and for ducks such as Гоголь зеленоголовий, Морянка and Крех середній. Підсоколик малий can be readily encountered in the area in winter, while Лунь польовий can also be observed on occasion.
