Description
The shallow river running along the northern edge of the mixed woodland of Forrestalstown Wood is a great spot to see Пронурок біловолий and occasionally Плиска гірська. The woodland holds a good variety of species including Дятел звичайний, Сойка звичайна, Ополовник звичайний, або синиця довгохвоста, Підкоришник звичайний and Золотомушка жовточуба.
In spring and summer one can find Кропив’янка чорноголова , Вівчарик весняний and Вівчарик-ковалик plus a number of other common woodland birds in a quiet and peaceful environment. Overhead, look out for Канюк звичайний, Крук звичайний and the occasional Сапсан.

Access
Access the area from Enniscorthy by following the N30 west towards New Ross and Waterford. Around 5.5 km out, turn right onto the R730. Continue for just over 3 km before turning left onto a minor road. Follow this road, keeping right as the road forks after about half a kilometre. Continue for another kilometre before turning left and then left again just under 2 km later. After crossing the Boro river after only a few metres there is a small car park on your left where you can begin your walk.
Exploring along the river and up into the woodland should take 2 to 3 hours. Пронурок біловолий can generally be found in the shallow areas of the river past the fork in the main river path (the right hand path takes you up into the wood).
