Örfirisey is a reliable spot to observe the birdlife of the Reykjavík bay. Especially in the colder times of the year. Bringing your telescope, a scan of the bay and horizon might produce birds like Морянка, Баклан чубатий, Сула атлантична, Люрик, Каменярка and Крех середній. You might also see Гагара червоношия and Гагара полярна. Örfirsey has also hosted a male White-winged Scoter every winter since 2014, proving it as a reliable spot for this vagrant.
