The road between Mavria and Platania is a great road to stop and drive along, and to observe many local breeding species, like Берестянка оливкова, Eastern Orphean Warbler and Кропив'янка червоновола. The small houses and farms a worth a check for Сич хатній, and the scattered trees are perfect for Жайворонок лісовий. The scrubs and bushes are great for many species of shrike, like Сорокопуд червоноголовий and Сорокопуд білолобий. The rocky outcrops are great for Повзик скельний and Вівсянка сивоголова.
During migration, the area is worth to check for species like Сиворакша євразійська, Бджолоїдка звичайна and Вивільга звичайна. Raptors are always present, and tend to hang around the hill tops, like Канюк степовий.

There's a road present, which you can stop and drive along between Platania and Mavria. Park your car carefully along the road, and check the area with binoculars.
