Description
The Stahlberg and Hölleberg area is dominated by well-preserved calcareous grasslands in different stages of succession and interesting for breeding birds of semi-open habitat, including Зозуля звичайна, Перепілка звичайна, Соловейко західний, Жайворонок польовий, Зелений дятел, Кобилочка-цвіркун, Сорокопуд терновий, Щеврик лісовий, Жайворонок лісовий and Крутиголовка звичайна. Visitors are Шуліка чорний and Шуліка рудий, Лелека чорний, Крук звичайний and Підсоколик великий. The area is also a well-known hotspot among botanists (orchids) and entomologists (e.g. butterflies).

Access
The site is accessible by car, there is a parking possibility at the airfield Hölleberg. From there, several hiking routes lead along the plateau which offers a scenic view over the Diemel valley. The length of the route you see on the map is about 7 km.
