Description

Schwarzes Venn nature reserve has bogs and bog forests. Today, an unspoilt-looking birch marsh forest with many downy birches and moor grass dominates in the core zone. In 1983 the area was ecologically improved. Further conversion of arable land to grassland and fenced for grazing. Especially in the autumn and winter months, Schwarzes Venn is of great importance for the wintering of migratory birds. Many resting Журавель сірий and Nordic geese can be observed at this time.
