The Ratzener Teiche are a former lignite mining site near the village of Lohsa. The area has been transformed into a series of fish ponds with reed beds, creating a rich wetland for various bird species. Among the birds you can encounter are Бугай водяний, Лунь очеретяний, Очеретянка велика, Ремез звичайний, Вівсянка очеретяна, Вівсянка звичайна, Соловейко західний, Крячок річковий, Зозуля звичайна and Пірникоза велика.
The Ratzener Teiche are located directly east of the village of Lohsa in Saxony. You can park in the village and explore the area from there on foot. Press P on the map for directions to the parking.
