Description
The typical species of a city can be seen at the Decksteiner Weiher in summer. On the lake Казарка канадська, Каргарка нільська, Пірникоза велика and Крижень can be seen. Around the lake you can observe Зелений дятел, Щиглик звичайний, Дятел середній and much more. In winter, however, more rare duck species such as Чернь чубата, Попелюх звичайний, Нерозень and with a bit of luck also Чернь білоока can be found.

Decksteiner Weiher is easy to reach by bike from Cologne (Köln). You can also get there easily by car. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking. A circular walk around the lake is about 5 km.
