Description
At the river Ahr are breeding Пісочник малий and Рибалочка блакитний. In the floodplains are meadows, forests and a little reedbed. In the meadows are breeding Сич хатній (10 territories in 2020). Сорокопуд терновий and Кобилочка-цвіркун are possible breeding birds. In the forests are breeding Соловейко західний , Вивільга звичайна and Дятел середній. You can also see Шуліка чорний and Підсоколик великий during breeding time. In the little reedbed are Очеретянка ставкова and Очеретянка чагарникова (also common next to the Ahr). Берестянка багатоголоса and Берестянка звичайна can also be found in the area.
During migration, you can see migratory birds like Скопа and Коловодник лісовий. In winter you can see some wintering birds like Пронурок біловолий.

Access
There is a train station in Linz (direct connections to Cologne and Koblenz), from where you have to cross the Rhine with the ferry to Kripp. Another train station is in Sinzig (direct connections to Bonn and Koblenz) from where you can go directly to the meadows at the southern edge of the area.
You can park in Kripp (follow the B9 until Kripp). The walking route you see on the map is about 7 km.
