Sandbank surrounded by mudflats located in the Moëze-Oléron Nature Reserve. Plenty of shorebirds, geese and egrets can been spotted.
Tannes de la Perrotine is a resting site for many birds which find the necessary tranquility there thanks to the regulated access. At low tide large mudflats appear where shorebirds, geese and egrets feed. Birds can be observed there by the hundreds or even by the thousands such as Сивка морська, Кулик-сорока, Казарка чорна, Кульон великий, Кульон середній, also Чернь червонодзьоба and Пісочник морський and many other waders, gulls, terns and shorebirds. At the Pointe de la Pérrotine (lighthouse), in winter and at high tide you can have the chance to see sea birds such as the Гагарка мала or Синьга.

Français: Situé dans la Réserve Naturelle de Moëze-Oléron ce banc de sable entouré de vasière et un site est classé réserve intégrale. Les tannes de la Perrotine est un site de repos pour de nombreux oiseaux qui y trouvent la tranquilité nécéssaire grace à l'accès règlementé. A marée basse la mer découvre de grandes vasières où se nourrissent les limicoles, Bernaches et Aigrette. Les oiseaux peuvent s'y observer par centaines voir par milliers comme les Pluviers argenté, les Huitriers pie, Bernaches cravants, Bécasseaux, Barges, Courlis, Sternes, Goélands, Chevaliers. A la pointe de la Pérrotine (phare), en hiver et à marée haute on peut avoir la chance de voir des oiseaux du large tel le Pingouin torda ou la Macreuse noire.
Accessible by car via the village of Boyardville then park in the car park of the oyster village of Fort Royer. The site can be visited on foot.
