Route 23

Alpes Cote Azur  >  France

An incredible place to see Сип білоголовий, with numerous individuals passing by very close. Occasionally also Стерв’ятник білий and Гриф чорний.

Description

Route 23 is a beautiful panoramic road that runs along the Verdon canyon. The site is easily accessible by anyone. Just stand on the sidewalk that runs alongside the road and you can easily, especially in the central hours of the day, see several dozen Сип білоголовий passing through the canyon, often at very short distances. Not all days are the same, but it is practically impossible not to see anything.

The good points are different, practically at every hairpin bend there is a panoramic point and each of them can be the right one, because Сип білоголовий pass along the entire canyon. Other birds that you can observe from the viewpoints are Гриф чорний, Клушиця, Сапсан, Стерв’ятник білий and Змієїд блакитноногий.
