Pointe de Chassiron is located at the end of the island of Oléron, and probably the most interesting place for the observation of pelagic birds (= seawatch), like Сула атлантична, Кайра тонкодзьоба or even Balearic Shearwater.
The best time to observe seabirds, like any bird for that matter, is from dawn until noon. The only really interesting period for the seawatch is fall. You will then be able to observe a very large diversity of open sea birds, such as: Гуска сіра, Казарка чорна, Пухівка зеленошия, Синьга, Крех середній, Пірникоза червоношия, Пірникоза велика, Поморник великий, Кайра тонкодзьоба, Гагарка мала, Мартин вилохвостий, Мартин звичайний, Мартин малий, Мартин середземноморський, Мартин сивий, Мартин сріблястий, Мартин скельний, Клуша, Мартин морський, Крячок малий, Крячок рябодзьобий, Крячок річковий, Гагара червоношия, Гагара полярна, Качурка морська, Balearic Shearwater, Сула атлантична and finally Баклан чубатий.
During migration, it is also possible to observe a large number of passerines and Anatidae.
NB: a Шпак піренейський has been nesting for several years under the tiles of the most advanced house with Шпак звичайний.

It is possible to park in the parking lot at the tip. You can visit the site on foot. You can also visit it by bike but it will be useless because the principle is to remain static behind your telescope.
