Le Champ Virlois is interesting for several reedbed species, including Синьошийка, Очеретянка велика, Очеретянка лучна, Бугайчик, Пастушок and Лунь очеретяний. Ремез звичайний has been spotted in stopover and crakes are possible.
In the surrounding forests Снігур звичайний, Підсоколик великий, Вівчарик весняний and Шуліка чорний are quite easy to see. Лежень and Гоголь зеленоголовий can be found at the surrounding gravel pits.
