Etang des Salines is the main site for observing birds in Martinique. The site allows you to observe birds of humid environments of the lake and the mangroves, the dry environments of the savannahs and the dry coastal forests. In the southwest corner of the lake you can take a circular walk through a part of the lake that has two bird observatories.

Access
Etang des Salines is located on the southernmost point of the island of Martinique. Park in the beach car park. Click on the P in the map for directions or coordinates. From the parking follow the beach. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 400 meters and passes two bird observatories.
