Description

To be honest, birding in the area south to Argeles can be disappointing, due to development and disturbance, So this area is a comparative haven. As well as the open water, the grassland and woods are worth investigation. The outlet to the sea is also of interest.

During spring migration, highish ground to the west of the lagoon outside St Nazaire is a good vantage point to see passage migrants.
