Description
This sea embankment stretches from Saintes Maries-de-la-Mer to Salin-de-Giraud and crosses the southern sector of the Camargue Nature Reserve. It offers 20 km of foot and cycle paths from which you can discover the wild open spaces of the lagoons and saltmarshes. The track across the embankment is open throughout the year. It is strictly forbidden to leave the track and venture onto the dunes, even on foot. So please respect this!
Birds you can see here all year round : Фламінго, Галагаз євразійський, Косар білий, Чоботар синьоногий, Кульон великий, Коловодник звичайний, Мартин середземноморський, Пісочник морський, Кропив’янка прованська, Посмітюха. In summer: Крячок малий, Кулик-сорока, Щеврик польовий, Жовта плиска. In winter: Побережник чорногрудий, Побережник малий, Побережник білий. During migration: Крячок каспійський and Кульон середній.
