Description
Kallahdenniemen Uimaranta: the beach is a great place to watch birds during migration seasons as many species stop to rest and feed near the shore. Migrating waders are among the most interesting birds to see on the beach and it's possible to see a lot of rarer species if one is lucky. Кулик-сорока and Набережник палеарктичний are a pretty common sight by the beach and it's possible to spot waders like Побережник чорногрудий , Коловодник болотяний , Побережник червоногрудий ,Коловодник великий , Пісочник великий , Пісочник малий , Побережник білохвостий , Брижач , Кульон середній , Грицик малий and Коловодник чорний. Some lucky birders have even spotted Чоботар синьоногий here.
Мартин сивий , Мартин звичайний , Мартин сріблястий , Клуша , Крячок річковий , Крячок полярний and Крячок каспійський are regular birds by the beach. Крех великий , Крех середній , Лебідь-шипун ,Крижень , Гоголь зеленоголовий , Чернь чубата and Казарка канадська are also common water fowl.
While waiting for waders to make an appearance it's also good to keep an eye on the reeds and their surroundings as you can spot common birds like Плиска біла but also Жовта плиска if you're in luck. When small birds are around birds of prey aren't far behind in the form of Яструб малий , Яструб великий , Лунь очеретяний and Підсоколик великий. Some very lucky birders have also seen Рибалочка блакитний stop briefly on the area.
