One of the nubian islands on the river Nile in Aswan. Few people live on the small island and there are many sand banks, wetlands and some local trees.
Sehel Island is a small island in the middle of the river Nile. The site is interesting for migratory birds. So the best time to visit is winter. Birds you can observe include Бджолоїдка мала, Nile Valley Sunbird, Каргарка нільська, Чайка шпорова, Баклан великий, Чапля мангрова, Рибалочка строкатий and Альціон білогрудий.
Кам’янка пустельна, Лелека чорний and Бугайчик have been observed during autumn migration.
Sehel Island is located in the river Nile between the town of Aswan and the Aswan Dam. The only access to the island is by boat. The place where boats cross the Nile to the island is marked with a star.
