Description
There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare Сутора вусата, або синиця вусата and there are nesting some other rare birds like Бугайчик , Синьошийка and Чечевиця євразійська. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example Кам’янка звичайна , Кобилочка солов’їна , Мартин середземноморський , Скопа and sometimes even Очеретянка прудка and Очеретянка тонкодзьоба.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like Побережник чорногрудий , Брижач , Побережник малий , Побережник червоногрудий , Коловодник чорний , Коловодник болотяний and some other. Also you can observe Погонич звичайний or Пастушок.
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching Сутора вусата, або синиця вусата and if you are lucky you can see wintering Бугай водяний or Чечітка гірська .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: Плавунець круглодзьобий , Крем’яшник звичайний , Мородунка , Грицик великий , Побережник ісландський , Мартин каспійський , Крячок рябодзьобий , Крячок полярний , Даурська ластівка , Лунь степовий , Мартин вилохвостий , Очеретянка прудка , Очеретянка тонкодзьоба and many others.

The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
