The hacienda consists of a working farm with cows, horses, vegetable cultivation and a trout farm. You can visit several birding spots on the property.
Hacienda El Bosque has 2 locations for Antpittas: Equatorial Antpitta and Crescent-faced Antpitta and a feeder for the Gray-breasted Mountain-Toucan. You can also find several feeders for hummingbirds such as Purple-backed Thornbill, Sword-billed Hummingbird, Tourmaline Sunangel, Shining Sunbeam and other small birds. You can stay at the feeders or follow the small trails for birdwatching.
Hacienda El Bosque is located 17 km east of the town of Manizales. Easy to reach by car and plenty of parking space. Distances between the locations of the feeders are best by car.
