Description
Zoet Water includes five ponds, a recreation park and walking trails. The valley used to be a marsh, but ponds were dug here in the 17th century. They are separated from each other by dams, but are connected to each other and to the Vaalbeek by means of an overflow system. You can easily find the birds like Лебідь-шипун, Пірникоза велика, Лиска звичайна, Баклан великий, Гуска сіра, Чернь чубата, Попелюх звичайний and Чапля сіра observe closely on the water. Occasional visitors in the past were Огар рудий and Мандаринка.

Nederlands: Zoet Water omvat vijf vijvers, een recreatiepark en wandelpaden in een beboste omgeving. Vroeger was de vallei een moerasgebied maar in de 17e eeuw zijn hier vijvers gegraven. Ze zijn van elkaar gescheiden door dammen, maar staan met elkaar en met de Vaalbeek in verbinding door middel van een overloopsysteem. Je kan hier de vogels als Лебідь-шипун, Пірникоза велика, Лиска звичайна, Баклан великий, Гуска сіра, Чернь чубата, Попелюх звичайний en Чапля сіра gemakkelijk van dichtbij observeren op het water.
