Description
The Verdronken Weide is a nature reserve of just over 40 ha near the village of Ieper/Ypres. The area has a deep pool and grasslands with varying water levels. More than 160 bird species occur in the area, including Чирянка велика, Широконіска північна, Пісочник малий, Чоботар синьоногий, Кулик-сорока, Баранець звичайний, Очеретянка лучна, Пастушок and Синьошийка. Part of the area is grazed by cattle. It is very close from Ieper (1km from the town hall), a grass path runs around it, various items to see (water, meadows, shrubs, trees, orchards). There is also a bird watching hide in the area.

Only accessible on foot, You can park on different spots around the area (Rijselseweg or Komenseweg). Click on the P in the map to get directions. The trail around the area is 2.6 km.
