Plateau du Gerny is an area of open fields surrounded by bushes. Шуліка рудий and Шуліка чорний are frequent. Annual observations of Хрустан євразійський, Лунь лучний, Щеврик польовий and sometimes Журавель сірий on the ground. Rare visiors that have been observed in the area are Щеврик азійський, Щеврик червоногрудий, Вівсянка білоголова, Вівсянка садова, Пуночка снігова, Одуд, Зимняк, Лунь степовий, Орел-карлик малий, Шуліка чорноплечий and Кібчик червононогий.

You can visit the main part of Plateau du Gerny by car but the eastern part is forbidden for cars. The circular route indicated on the map is about 8 km.
