Description

Domaine des Silex is an interesting birding area because it is located on the edge of the Soignes forest and has 2 ponds. This means that you can see a wide variety of birds (forest birds and water birds). You can see all the species of tits present in Brussels (Чорна синиця, Синиця чубата, Гаїчка болотяна, Синиця блакитна, Велика синиця and Ополовник звичайний, або синиця довгохвоста), all woodpecker species (Дятел звичайний, Дятел малий, Дятел середній, Жовна чорна and Зелений дятел), thrushes (Дрізд співочий, Дрізд білобровий and Чикотень), common garden and park birds (Кропивник, Вільшанка, Тинівка лісова, Підкоришник короткопалий, Повзик звичайний, Зяблик звичайний, Зеленяк звичайний Золотомушка жовточуба, Золотомушка червоночуба, Припутень, Голуб-синяк, Ворона чорна , Галка звичайна, Сойка звичайна and Сорока звичайна), raptors (Канюк звичайний, Яструб малий, Яструб великий, Осоїд євразійський, Сапсан and Підсоколик великий) and lots of waterfowl (Крижень, Попелюх звичайний, Чернь чубата, Водяна курочка, Лиска звичайна, [ [Dodaars]], Пірникоза велика, Нерозень, Лебідь-шипун, Чапля сіра, occasionally the Чепура велика, Пастушок, ,Баклан великий, and the Рибалочка блакитний!

Français: Petite réserve Natura 2000 en bordure de Foret de Soignes avec 2 étangs, un grand et un petit(ce dernier est accessible que les samedis ou 1er dimanche du mois). Ce site est d'un grand intéret car il est en bordure de Foret de Soignes et comporte 2 étangs, ce qui fait que on peut y voir une grande variété d'oiseaux (oiseaux forestiers et oiseaux d'eau).

On peut voir ici toutes les éspèces de mésanges présentes sur Bruxelles ( Чорна синиця, Синиця чубата, Гаїчка болотяна, Синиця блакитна, Велика синиця et Ополовник звичайний, або синиця довгохвоста), toutes les éspèces de pics présentes sur Bruxelles ( Дятел звичайний, Дятел малий, Дятел середній, Жовна чорна et Зелений дятел), des grives ( Дрізд співочий, Дрізд білобровий et Чикотень), les oiseaux communs des jardins et parcs ( Кропивник, Вільшанка, Тинівка лісова, Підкоришник короткопалий, Повзик звичайний, Зяблик звичайний, Зеленяк звичайний Золотомушка жовточуба, Золотомушка червоночуба, Припутень, Голуб-синяк, Ворона чорна, Галка звичайна, Сойка звичайна et Сорока звичайна), des rapaces ( Канюк звичайний, Яструб малий, Яструб великий, Осоїд євразійський, Сапсан et Підсоколик великий) et plein d'oiseaux d'eau ( Крижень, Попелюх звичайний, Чернь чубата, Водяна курочка, Лиска звичайна, Пірникоза мала, Пірникоза велика, Нерозень, Лебідь-шипун, Чапля сіра, occasionellement la Чепура велика, Пастушок, Мартин звичайний,Баклан великий, et le Рибалочка блакитний !

Access

The site is accessible by tram line 8 or bus line 17. A car park can be found on the square opposite the Chemin des Flints, by which you access the site. You can also reach the area by bike but not enter the site with the bike. Bicycle parking is available at the entrance.

In addition to all the species mentioned above, other species can be observed on the site depending on the season. In winter, the presence on the pond of Чирянка мала, Пастушок, and the Широконіска північна can be noted. On the site you will most certainly be able to see the Чиж лісовий, with luck В’юрок, and with a lot of luck Чечітка мала. Stopping on the site during migration you can see in particular Набережник палеарктичний and Коловодник лісовий, Кропив’янка садова, Дрізд гірський, Трав'янка чорноголова, Мухоловка строката ( not very frequent), Горихвістка чорна, Очеретянка середземноморська (an individual has been present on the site since October 2021), the Очеретянка лучна and the Горихвістка звичайна.

And finally, in summer you can see Серпокрилець чорний, many Ластівка міська, Ластівка сільська, Осоїд євразійський, Підсоколик великий, Вівчарик весняний, Вівчарик-ковалик, Очеретянка ставкова, and occasionally the Очеретянка чагарникова as well as the Мухоловка сіра. On migration, you can see above your head the Жовта плиска, Щеврик лучний, Жайворонок лісовий, Жайворонок польовий, Дрізд білобровий, Чикотень and Шпак звичайний (these last 3 can also be seen on the site). Note that during the whole year you can observe with a little luck Снігур звичайний and Костогриз, as well as Зеленяк звичайний. In flight and occasionally landed on the site you can see Щиглик звичайний and Шишкар ялиновий, but for these 2 you need a good eye!

Français: En plus de toutes les éspèces mentionés précèdemment, on peut observer sur le site d'autres éspèces en dépendant de la saison. En hiver, on peut noter la présence sur l'étang de la Чирянка мала, le Пастушок, et le Широконіска північна. Sur le site on pourra voir très certainement le Чиж лісовий, avec de la chance le В’юрок, et avec un gros coup de bol le Чечітка мала. En halte sur le site on peut voir nottament le Набережник палеарктичний et le Коловодник лісовий, la Кропив’янка садова, le Дрізд гірський, le Трав'янка чорноголова, le Мухоловка строката( pas très fréquent),le Горихвістка чорна , la Очеретянка середземноморська (meme si un individus est présent a ce jour sur le site depuis octobre 2021!), la Очеретянка лучна et le Горихвістка звичайна.

Et pour finir, en été on pourra voir le Серпокрилець чорний, de nombreuses Ластівка міська,l' Ластівка сільська, la Осоїд євразійський, le Підсоколик великий, le Вівчарик весняний, le Вівчарик-ковалик, la très characteristique du site Очеретянка ставкова, et occasionellement la Очеретянка чагарникова ainsi que le Мухоловка сіра. En migration, on saura voir au dessus de nos tetes la Жовта плиска, le Щеврик лучний, l' Жайворонок лісовий, l' Жайворонок польовий, la Дрізд білобровий, la Чикотень et l' Шпак звичайний (ces 3 derniers peuvent aussi etre observés sur le site). A noter que pendant toute l'année on pourra observer avec un peu de chance le Снігур звичайний et le Костогриз, ainsi que le Зеленяк звичайний. En vol et occasionellement posés sur le site on pourra voir le Щиглик звичайний et le Шишкар ялиновий, mais pour ces 2 là vous avez interet a avoir une bone ouille !
