Description

The Enns Stausee is a large reservoir with unobstructed views across the flat landscape. During migration season, rare waterbird species such as Tundra Bean Goose, Лебідь-кликун, and Гагара чорношия are regularly found here. Waders and songbirds are also well represented.

Access

The Enns Stausee is located 25 km southeast of the city of Linz near the town of Thaling. Parking spaces can be found on the Lower Austrian side at the Gasthaus Kastner or at the Rubring sailing club. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The reservoir is also easily accessible by bicycle. The circular route shown on the map is about 9 km.
