A great location to see shorebirds and songbirds, which is fed by the Colma Creek. This is behind the SFO Airport Costco. Best time to go is low to mid tide.

Description

See a variety of shorebirds, song birds and local area birds as you walk through the bay trail. Park behind Costco at 195 Belle Aire Road and cross the bridge, turn right to start the trail. Some of the birds observed here include Canada Goose, Western Meadowlark, White-crowned Sparrow, Golden-crowned Sparrow, Black Phoebe, American Crow and Yellow-rumped Warbler.

Access

Park at 195 Belle Aire Road, South San Francisco, between Costco and the water treatment plant. Click on the P in the map for directions or coordinates. The path is paved and flat and accessible to everyone. Dogs are allowed on leashes. Best time to go is low to mid tide. See a link to the tides table below.
