Landscaped former opencast coalmine at the centre of the Forest of Dean SSSI. Open water, swamp, heath and forest. Good parking nearby with art installations.
Woorgreens Lake and Crabtree Hill is a prominent wetland site in a thickly forested region. Çobanaldatan hunt insects over the water on summer nights. Büyük örümcekkuşu is a fairly regular winter visitor, as are Karabaşlı iskete and Çaprazgaga. Ağaç incirkuşu, Kuzgun and Taşkuşu breed nearby. Su çulluğu frequent the rushy water margins, Tepeli patka and Büyük tarakdiş on the water.
