Warleigh Point is a reserve run by Devon Wildlife Trust, just to the North of the City of Plymouth.
Warleigh Point is a peninsula with Tamerton creek to it's South, the Tavy estuary to the North and river Tamar to the West. It is heavily wooded with a few footpaths throughout. As well as woodland species (at any time), you can get good views of estuary birds as well (3 hours before high tide is best).
From Plymouth City Centre take the A386 road marked Tavistock, when nearing Crownhill flyover take a left turn onto B3413, almost immediately look for B3373 that eventually takes you out of Plymouth to Tamerton Foliot (not to be confused with Kings Tamerton), on passing St Mary's Church on the right, take the 3rd turning left into Station Road, at the end of this road is the reserve. You can park on this road.
