Description

Wooded valley with decidious and managed coniferious woodland mixed with small wildlife fields left to grow wild flowers. Sirhowy river running through brings an added interest. Many bird species can be seen all year round. Long flat path runs alongside the river on an old railway line, used by walkers and cyclists but paths run off this into the woodland which is the best place for birding. Paths can be quite steep running up the valley. Good place for bats. A couple of villages close by which many residents feed the birds and wildlife increasing the number of different types found.
