Within the sight of Canary Wharf and the 02, you'll discover the old East India Dock Basin, now enjoying a new lease of life as an amazing wildlife sanctuary.
The city high flyers you’ll spot here are Yalıçapkını, Sumru and the occasional Kara kızılkuyruk. Because where once 19th century ships delivered their cargoes, there’s now tranquil open water, wildflower meadows and salt marsh. East India Dock Basin is a real gem. A perfect escape from the city for the family and a nature lover’s delight.
East India Dock Basin opening times: July - August: 08:00 - 21:00. September - October: 08:00 - 19:30. November - March: 08:00 -17:00. April - June: 08:00 - 19:30. You can access through walking, cycling, train and buses.
