The Park is an old royal hunting ground and so is like an oasis in urban London. It is famous for its deer and wildlife offers good photography. Entry is free.
Bushy Park is a well established an popular location with two road entrances, each with their own parking area as you can no longer drive all the way through. There are refreshment places. Karabatak are often around the Diana Fountain with its impressive statue and the park is a good place to see Yeşil papağan. Because they have become used to humans, you can usually get closer than normal to Gri balýkçýl.
There is a north-south road through the park, but this is now blocked off in the middle. From the north, use the entrance from Park Road in Teddington, and once in the park, watch for the directions to the car park and Pheasantry Cafe. From the south, use the entrance from Hampton Court Road, follow the circle around the Diana Fountain to access the southern car park. Buses do not enter the park, but there are stops near both entrances. Once parked, it is best to walk and I tend to take the same route, but you are free to roam across quite an expanse, but keep your distance from the deer, especially in the rutting season in the autumn. There are several pedestrian gates right around the park.
