The town of Beer and Beer Head is on the South coast in South East Devon.
The town of Beer is just West of the town of Seaton (not to be confused with the Seaton in South East Cornwall), Beer Head is close walking distance further West. There is car parking (fee payable) both in the town and very close to the headland. The town of Beer as usual for seaside towns in the South West can get VERY busy during the summer months. The headland gives views out to sea to the South, the area comprises of a caravan site with a public car park alongside, agricultural fields surrounded with hedges, the Southern most part being mostly open, has an undercliff caused by a landslip that is now covered with trees and shrubs, that can be productive for migrants, whilst there is a footpath to this landslip area most birdwatchers stay on cliff top and let birds come to them. Jubilee Gardens in Beer is an easy walk from the headland and has a convenient shelter to view the sheltered bay.
The A3052 between Sidmouth and Lyme Regis runs West to East just to the North, if travelling from Sidmouth take right turn onto B3174 signed to Beer, nearing Beer beach turn right into Common Lane to Cliff Top long stay car park. If travelling from Seaton head West on B3174 to Beer.
BE WARNED VERY HIGH CLIFFS AT BEER HEAD.
