Description
Stadsjön has wetland areas, forest, meadows, reed beds and river habitats. This variety attracts many birds. Along the hiking trail you can walk or roll straight through wetlands, experience rainforest-like deciduous forest, and look out over the open wet meadows where cows graze. From the newly built lookout tower you look out over the beautiful landscape. If you are lucky, the Akkuyruklu kartal can come gliding over, or you can hear Kındıra kamışçını singing. During spring and autumn, the reserve is visited by large numbers of resting birds. Among the birds you can encounter are Kaşıkgaga, Tepeli patka, Kayın Baştankarası, Boz ötleğen, Kaya kartalý, Saz delicesi, Gökçe delice, Kuzgun, Sarý kuyruksallayan, Sarı kirazkuşu, Küçük sakarca, Paçalı şahin, Fiyu, Çamurcun, Altıngöz, Büyük tarakdiş, Guguk, Su kılavuzu, Turna, Kervançulluğu, Karakarınlı kumkuşu, Çulluk, Su çulluğu, Büyük su çulluğu, Kızılbacak, Orman düdükçünü, Yeşilbacak, Karagerdanlý dalgýç, Sumru, Balık kartalı, Arı Şahini, Kızıl Çaylak, Küçük ağaçkakan, Alaca Baykuş, Boyunçeviren, Kara ağaçkakan, Delice doğan, Gök doðan, Büyük örümcekkuşu, Çekirge Kamışçını, Derekuşu, Benekli bülbül and Mavigerdan.

Via the hiking trail and the approximately 300 m long footbridge, you can get around the Stadssjön nature reserve (see the map). Whether you walk or roll in a wheelchair, you can explore the area. If you also want to take the opportunity to visit the adjacent reserve Lilla älvgången, you only need to cross the new bridge. The trail around Stadssjön is 3.3 km long starting from the car park.
