Description
Migrating birds (mostly waterfowl) can be found seen from Ekudden. Especially in autumn (September/Oktober). Then Thousands of Akyanaklý kaz, Yosun kazi, Fiyu and Pufla have been seen. Hundreds of Çamurcun, Kilkuyruk, Kara ördek and Kadife ördek have been migrating during the right weather.
On the Cobs around Kvädö large colonies of Karabatak, Kutup sumrusu, Sumru, Küçük gümüþ martý and Karabağ martı. There is also one of the few colonies of Hazar sumrusu in Sweden at Röskären. If the weather is harsh, arctic waders sometimes stop on the cobs. The cobs are also one of the best wintering areas for Mor Kumkuşu.
The open sea next to Ekudden is often open and holds large amounts of wintering Büyük tarakdiş, Telkuyruk and Altıngöz. Smaller amounts of wintering Kara ördek, Tarakdiş, Suna and Bahri can be found. During late autumn and winter large amounts (at most 3500) of Altıngöz and Tepeli patka winter at Licknewarpsfjärden. Sütlabi, is found up until April but is most common in early December. Smaller amounts of dabbling ducks (Boz ördek, Fiyu and Çamurcun) and Elmabaş patka also winter in the bays. The large area of forests bring wintering Kaya kartalý, Çakýr and Atmaca. The fields often hold wintering Şahin, and cobs Akkuyruklu kartal.
During spring resting loons have been seen. Passerine birds sometimes rest at Ekudden. Rare birds like Mavigerdan (northern subsp), Kara kızılkuyruk, and Tayga çütresi have been seen. Grebes have been seen resting during the spring (Kızılboyunlu batağan, Bahri (most common), and Kulaklı batağan) are often found.

Parking can be done at Licknewarpsfjärden, at Ekudden, and at gamla Fågelvik. There is a Birdwatching tower at Ekudden.
