Description
At Kungsbro 212 Bird species have been recorded. Kungsbro is a nature reserve next to the lake of Roxen. At the lake 296 bird species have been recorded. During winter large amounts (hundreds if not thousands) of Tepeli patka, Yeşilbaş, and Altıngöz. Among these Sütlabi, Büyük tarakdiş, Kuğu, Bahri, Büyük Karasırtlı Martı, Sakarmeke, Ötücü kuğu, Fiyu, and Boz ördek. In mild winters you can observe hundreds of Boz kaz, and Kanada Kazı. Sometimes Sığırcık, Sakarca, and Kızkuşu also winter in the area. Birds of prey like Şahin, Paçalı şahin, Kerkenez, Akkuyruklu kartal, and Gökçe delice can also be seen in the area. And Büyük örümcekkuşu.
During spring large amounts of geese stay in the hundreds on the fields and meadows. In some years Kızkuşu, Tarla kazi, and Tarlakuşu are found here. Large amounts dabbling ducks, can be found some of whom breed. Many wading birds like Çamurçulluğu, Kervançulluğu, Sürmeli kervançulluğu, Poyrazkuşu, Kızılbacak, Orman düdükçünü, and Döşüşkenkuş use the coastal meadows as feeding grounds. From the observation tower you get a good view of the lake. On the lake you can see hundreds of Sumru, Kuzey Gümüş Martı and Küçük gümüþ martý. Smaller amounts of Hazar sumrusu, Kara sumru, Karasırtlı Martı and Küçük martı can be found from May-September.
Kungsbro has a small colony of Karabağ martı. Waders like Kızkuşu, Poyrazkuşu, Kızılbacak, and Su çulluğu. Other breeding birds are: Boz ördek, Boz kaz, Sakarmeke, Çamurcun, and Bahri. Among passerine birds Saz Kamışçını, Kındıra kamışçını, Bataklık kirazkuşu, Sarý kuyruksallayan and many more breed.
During autumn Çayır incirkuşu, Alaca kirazkuşu, Sarıgagalı ketenkuşu, Kızılgerdanlı incirkuşu, Tahtalı use the fields and coastal meadows as resting ground. Calidris-waders often use the coastal meadows when the water levels at Roxen are low. Among these Karakarınlı kumkuşu, Kızıl kumkuşu, and Sarıbacaklı kumkuşu are the most common. Küçük su çulluğu can also be found. Büyük ak balýkçýl and Gri balýkçýl are also often found.

Access
The nature reserve is just outside the towns of Berg and Ljungsbro. The area is close to Linköping. There is a parking spot at the birdwatching tower and south of the river Motala Ström at Sjöliden parking spaces can be found. Click on a P in the map to get directions to that point.

Note: The coastal meadows are a bird proctection area and the coastal meadows are not allowed to be visited from 1/4-30/6. The birdwatching tower can be visited year round.
