Description

Draven is a shallow and overgrown lake surrounded wet grasslands and marshy areas. The lake has two bird observation towers and a nice bird hide. The lake has been restored to regain its character as a slow-moving lake with flooding in old cultural landscape. It is an important breeding ground for a wide range of birds, mainly ducks and waders. Çıkrıkçın, Su kılavuzu, Balaban, Fiyu, Kervançulluğu, Saz delicesi, Yalıçapkını, Ötücü kuğu and Turna all nest here. Many different ducks, geese and waders also roost here during migration. You can get around the reserve on foot on marked paths, but it is also possible to drive between different bird observation towers, viewpoints and hides.
