Description
The area consists of the ponds, reedbeds and surrounding moist meadows. The fact that the area is quite small and is easy to overview gives very good observations of birds.
The ponds themselves aren't very rich in birdlife, but the species that áre present make the area special. Kara sumru can be seen fishing and sometimes even nesting in the ponds. Balaban are breeding in the reedbeds. Other species that can be seen or heard are Su kılavuzu and Bataklık kirazkuşu.
In the surrounding area, damp meadows, marshes and open fields with scattered trees and dense shrubberies are located. When walking through the area listen for Çulhakuşu, which in some years is breeding in the area. Other birds of interest can be Çıkrıkçın, Delice doğan, Çekirge Kamışçını, Leylek, Su çulluğu, Çamurçulluğu, Su çulluğu and Balık kartalı.
On the south side of the ponds, a birdingtower is located which gives a slightly (due to vegetation) narrow view of the area. From the tower leads a path south through the meadows and shrubland in which Çekirge Kamışçını and Çulhakuşu can be heard.
