You can do everything in this area. In the city you can spot birds like Söğüt serçesi, yaban kanaryası and many more. If you go up north you come to fields and empty landscapes. Seawatching is also very worthwhile. If the conditions are good, you can spot up to 300 Atlantik boz yelkovani and with luck Atlantik Yelkovanı and maybe even a Küçük Yelkovan. On a good morning I saw 250 Atlantik boz yelkovani and 3 Atlantik Yelkovanı. If you have the chance to go by boat, I would take it, because you can take good pictures and also have a chance to see dolphines. With much luck there is a chance of any storm petrel. Also Gökdoğan ssp pelegrinoides could be possilbe.

Access
Puerto de Santiago is located on the northwestern coast of Tenerife. You can get there easy by bus, but also by car. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The walking route is not too easy because it is quite hilly.
