Plans de Sió is a large steppe-type area, dominated by single-crop cereal farming, located in the Segarra region. It is a dry landscape with some shrubs or scrub. Steppe bird species, such as Çayır delicesi, Mezgeldek and Kocagöz breed in the area, but can be hard to find. The more common birds include Kızıl Keklik, Kızıl akbaba, Yılan Kartalı, Küçük kartal, Kızıl Çaylak, İbibik, Bozkır örümcekkuşu, Boğmaklı toygar, Kerkenez and Tarla kirazkuşu. Sometimes İberya şah kartalı is observed.
