Isla de Los Monos is located in the heart of Badajoz. It is an island with many lakes and marshes in the Guadiana river. It is full of life. It is full of birds. You can see more than 6 heron species (Küçük balaban, Gece Balikçili, Erguvani balýkçýl, Alaca Balikçil, Küçük ak balýkçýl, Gri balýkçýl and Sığır balıkçılı) and other nice birds like Çeltikçi, Kaşıkçı, Uzunbacak, Sazhorozu and Çulhakuşu.

You can park in Badajoz, on the map where the walk starts. A circular walk around the island Isla de Los Monos is about 4 km long, but you can extend your walk for kilometers along the river (see the map).
