Description
The Limonero reservoir is a reservoir located north of Malaga and has a length of 5 km. The reservoir regulates the Guadalmedina River and serves as a source of supply for the city of Malaga. You can watch the reservoir from above from the observatory where you can see almost the entire reservoir. Although it is somewhat far from the area closest to the dam, where the gulls are usually located, one of the main attractions of the environment in terms of bird watching. Large flocks of gulls visit the reservoir often and spend quite a bit of time there. Another good place to spot birds is the dam itself. Another option is a hike around the reservoir (about 7 km). Among the birds you can see in the area are Balık kartalı, Yılan Kartalı, Küçük kartal, Yalıçapkını, Küçük halkalı cılıbıt, Karabatak, Kuzgun, İbibik, Gümüş martı, Karabağ martı, Karasırtlı Martı and Küçük ak balýkçýl.
