Northernmost point of Mallorca. Nice for migratory birds and Ada Doğanı.
Cap de Formentor is a stunning cape known for its dramatic cliffs, breathtaking views, and the Formentor Lighthouse. The area is a popular tourist destination, so it can get crowded. During bird migration this is the northernmost point of Mallorca that migratory birds encounter when flying over the sea. This makes the chance of (rare) migratory birds greater than in other places. That makes bird watching at Cap de Formentor exciting!
You can reach Cap de Formentor by road and park at Far de Formentor (the lighthouse). Press P on the map for directions. Note: there are only about 10 parking spaces and it is a popular spot. It can get very busy very quickly. So try to get there around sunrise. If you arrive too late and leave too late you can end up in a traffic jam of tourists. On the way there and/or back you can stop at Mirador del Raco d'en Tomas to find Balear Ötleğeni.
