Beautiful forest located in the Parc Natural de l'Alt Pirineu. Nice birds like Alp isketesi, Boğmaklı Ardıç, Çaprazgaga can be seen relatively easily.
Bosc de Virós is a forest area near the hamlet of Bordes de Virós. From Bordes de Virós you can make a circular walk of 6 km through the beautiful forest. The forest is part of Parc Natural de l'Alt Pirineu which is the largest protected natural area in Catalonia. Good area for observing Alp isketesi, Paçalı baykuş, Çaprazgaga, Boğmaklı Ardıç and Boz söğütbülbülü. Among the other birds you can encounter in the area are Alaca Baykuş, Şakrak, Guguk, Kaya kirazkuşu, Kara ağaçkakan, Kuzgun, Tepeli baştankara, Çam baştankarası, Kara kızılkuyruk, Çalıkuşu and Ökse ardıcı. Flying overhead many raptors can be spotted, for example Sakallı akbaba, Kızıl akbaba, Küçük kartal, Kaya kartalý and Atmaca.
From Llavorsí take the L-504 road towards Alins. After about 4 km you reach a roundabout where you leave the L-504 road, which continues towards Ribera de Cardós, Lladorre and Tavascan, and you continue along the L-510 road towards Alins. You pass through the village of Araós and, after the last house of Araós, you turn right on a paved track following a sign that indicates the access to the ski resort Virós-Vallferrera, along with another sign of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park. You drive this road about 4.5 km and arrive at the parking lot of the Bordes de Virós. Click on the P in the map for directions.
