Description
Just 10 km west of Puerto de La Cruz and a much calmer way to see Define Güvercini than the often recommended spot at Mirador de La Grimona. From the parking along the highway goes a path on the western side of the canyon, just some hundred meters in, were the railing starts is a good spot for Define Güvercini.
The path doesn't follow the canyon the whole way in but turns away and climbes up the cliff and returns back to the parking. From the farthest spot there is a , though not optimal, view over the end of the canyon, from where Küçük Define Güvercini has been reported (La Pared).
Other species to be seen in the area are Canary Islands Chiffchaff, yaban kanaryası, Dağ kuyruksallayanı and Karabağlı ötleğen.

By buss, nr 363, from Puerto de La Cruz step of at the station Barranco de Ruiz. By car take road TF-5, park at the resting place. Click on the P in the map for directions.
