Description

This ornithological route coincides with the hiking route of the ascent to Montemayor. It is a circular route although it can be made linear if you have little time. The route begins on the outskirts of the town Ayora, next to the sports fields of the Escuelas, where the information panel is located. Crossing an area of chalets and country houses you walk until a fork where you must turn right.

Along this path you will get closer to the CV440 until you stand parallel to it for a while following the signs (yellow markings) and you will gradually approach the base of Montemayor. In this section you can enjoy a landscape of fields of olive and almond trees with the presence of birds linked to these dry crops ( Saka, Küçük iskete, Benekli sinekkapan, İbibik, Küçük Ak Gerdanlı Ötleğen and Kara Sığırcık).

When you reach the slopes of the mountain, you leave the crops and also leave the path to access a path that, between pine forest and scrub, accompanies you until you ascend to the top. During the ascent, you will be accompanied Büyük baþtankara, Mavi Baştankara, Bahçe Tırmaşıkkuşu and Küçük kartal.

At the top of Montemayor (1108m) you will enjoy the impressive views of the 4 cardinal points where you will be able to see the main geographical features of the area. In this area you can see Gök doðan, Gökardıç, Tahtalı, Kaya kartalý and Taşkuşu. Other birds you can see along the trail are Kızıl Başlı Örümcekkuşu, Kukumav, Kara kızılkuyruk, Kuzgun, Maskeli Ötleğen, Kızıl Keklik and Yılan Kartalı.

La ruta ornitológica coincide con la ruta senderista de la Subida al Montemayor, se trata de una ruta circular aunque puede hacerse lineal si se dispone de poco tiempo.
