Description
Namsan (남산) is a well-known mountain in Seoul, visited by a huge number of tourists every year. It is also a good place for observing common resident and migrant birds in Korea, such as Cinereous Tit, Long-tailed Tit, Vinous-throated Parrotbill, Ring-necked Pheasant, Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Eurasian Jay, and Goldcrest. One of the rare species recorded in this place is the Snowy-browed Nuthatch.

Namsan is easily accesible from any part of Seoul with public transport. It is the best to start from Namsan Outdoors Arboretum (남산야외식물원). You can also park nearby. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 1, 7 km.
